On May 7th, 2020 at ~9:00pm UTC, Microsoft reported that they were deploying a solution to address an issue in which users may be experiencing repeated credential prompts within the Outlook client when using Classic Authentication.

Shortly after, many users began expressing their frustration with the credential prompt issues.

Finally, a few days later on May 11th at ~6:30 am, Microsoft reported that they completed deployment of the fix and confirmed with multiple customers that the credential prompt had been resolved.
